Terms of use

This page is written to be read rather than skipped. The short version: the site is free and offered exactly as it stands, the games are not ours, the writing is, and a few behaviours degrade the site for everyone else badly enough that we will not tolerate them.

The games belong to their studios

Every title you open was built and is operated by an outside studio or provider. Copyright in the code, artwork, audio, characters and any trademark visible inside a game stays entirely with its owner. Our part is sorting, describing and opening a frame for their file to run in. We claim ownership of no part of any game.

The words and the structure are ours

Shelf descriptions, the essays around the listings, the grouping logic and the ordering on this site were all produced here. Quote them with a source and that is fine. Lifting a whole page onto another site under someone else's name is a different act, and not one we permit.

When a game disappears mid-week

The files live with the provider, so they can move, alter or withdraw a title whenever they like without telling us. Some days a game that worked yesterday simply will not start, for reasons entirely outside our hands. When we confirm a title is permanently broken we take it off the shelf and say plainly that the content is gone, rather than leaving a link that opens into nothing.

The limits of what we can answer for

The service is provided as it stands. We do not guarantee that every game will be reachable at any given moment, we do not guarantee that content inside a game suits every age, and we are not answerable for what happens within the game frame — including advertising or data collection carried out by that provider under its own policy.

Lines not to cross

Do not run automated collection heavy enough to slow the site for other readers. Do not attempt to reach parts of the service that are not public. Do not embed our pages elsewhere in a way that presents them as your own service. These three are not decoration: each one has, at some point, made somebody's site slower for real people.

If you hold the rights

If a game or an image here belongs to you and you would rather it were not, we will remove it once you reach us with evidence of ownership. A contact route will be published on the site once there is somebody genuinely reading it — an unattended channel is worse than none at all.
