What this game is like
A command game differs from one where you control a single character: you are not doing the work yourself. You decide who goes where and when, and then the consequences play out with only limited room to intervene. The experience has more in common with allocating staff than with playing a shooter.
What it measures is resource allocation under incomplete information. You cannot know for certain which direction pressure will come from, so you have to cover several possibilities without leaving any one of them too thin. Players who commit everything to a single approach tend to win the opening exchange and lose the one after it.
That is why it sits on the management shelf at My Urban Eatery, a small shelf reserved for games decided before the action starts rather than during it. If you would rather read the whole picture than steer one unit at a time, this is the corner of the site to browse.
