What this game is like
The mad laboratory is a well-worn setting because it licenses anything: strangely coloured flasks, machines nobody can identify, and results that never behave as expected. This game uses that freedom as the foundation of its puzzles. The work is noticing what connects to what and then trying things in an order that makes sense.
The humour is doing a more serious job than it appears to. A puzzle that answers a wrong attempt with something funny invites another attempt, whereas one that answers with a flat error message makes people feel foolish and close the tab. Designing failure to be entertaining is a direct tool for preserving a player's patience, and this title understands that.
The pace is unhurried, which suits explorers more than people chasing a clock. On the thinking shelf at My Urban Eatery it represents the narrative end of the group, where most of its neighbours are bare grids with no characters in them at all.
