Dice games get dismissed as luck, which is only half right. Which face lands is indeed chance, but what you choose to do once you can see the result is a decision, and a game built on short rounds forces those decisions often enough that the difference between players shows up within a few minutes.

The habit worth keeping is not to chase what you just lost. A poor result on the previous round does not improve your odds on this one; dice remember nothing at all. Players who do well are the ones who treat every round as if it were the first, which sounds trivial and is genuinely hard while a losing streak is in progress.
